As a brand, we strive to lead with our values and to help spread the spirit of African culture and beauty. Our love for fashion and Africa’s uniqueness is why we always ensure our designs are a complimentary fusion of Africa’s colourful cultures and contemporary fashion.
OUR STORY
The company was launched by Bunmi Ekundayo – a Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations Graduate from East London with a personal interest and educational background in fashion and textiles.
Originally from Nigeria, Bunmi’s vision was to create a platform where she could celebrate traditional African fashion with a modern twist.
The brand name ‘Ekundayo’ is based on Bunmi’s surname. It is an indigenous Nigerian name from the Yoruba tribe which means ‘tears become joy.’
